HIP Compliance Limited are a Home Information Pack provider based in the South of Manchester.
Any residential property that comes on to the market must have a HIP (Home Information Pack) report before it can be marketed. This has been introduced by the Government as the Government estimates that the sum of £350,000,000 is wasted each year on house sales that fall through.
The most important aspect of the pack will be the Energy Performance Certificate which shortened is the EPC. This can only be prepared by qualified Domestic Energy Assessors and we are pleased to be able to assist you in this regard as we do have our in-house team waiting to accept your instructions.
The whole point of the EPC is to assess how energy efficient your house is or is not. The EPC will look at aspects of your property in relation to the build i.e. cavity wall, stone wall etc, any insulation in the walls, double glazing, your heating system, boilers, loft insulation and other items in relation to the energy efficiency of the property.
Every Home Information Pack will contain the following items:
- Index
- Sale Statement
- Land Registry Title and Plan
- Energy Performance Certificate (EPC)
- Copy of the New Home Warranty (if applicable)
- Local Authority Searches
- Drainage & Water Searches
- Initial Documents for Leasehold Properties
Once the DEA has attended your premises, a certificate will be issued to illustrate to you how efficient your house currently is and how efficient it could be with the improvement suggested within the EPC (Energy Performance Certificate)
Because we are a dedicated HIP provider, we are able, through Local Solicitors Practices, to provide all the other items for the HIP including the Land Registry Title & Plan, the Local Authority Searches, Water Company Searches and the Environmental Search.
