1. Who will put the HIP (Home Information Pack) together?

HIP Compliance will work with your Estate Agent and Solicitor of choice to put the pack together and to make sure that it is accurate.

2. Will HIPS speed up the conveyancing process?

Potentially yes as information will be commissioned and provided early in the process.

3. Why do I need a HIP (Home Information Pack)?

HIPS are part of the government initiative to transform the home buying and selling process in England and Wales as well as tackling climate change.  You are required by Law to have one from the 1st August 2007 in relation to 4 bedroom properties but all the houses will be affected as soon as more Domestic Energy Assessors have been fully trained.

4. Do you need a HIP (Home Information Pack) anywhere in the UK?

No only in England and Wales

5. What if my sale falls through?

If this unfortunate events happens and your sale falls through you can put your home back on the market with the same HIP provided this is within 12 months of when the HIP was originally commissioned or is less than 30 days since the sale fell through.

6. Where will the Buyer see the HIP (Home Information Pack)?

Hipcompliance will provide you with a “hipcompliance pack”.  HIPcompliance will also keep an electronic copy of the pack should you require this in electronic form.
